Mikel Arteta believes his Arsenal side are heading to one of the toughest grounds in Europe when they head to Anfield next week.
The Spaniard’s side visit Anfield on Monday night in the Premier League - and could also be back a few days later in the Carabao Cup.
A Christian Fuchs own goal and Eddie Nketiah strike helped the Gunners past Leicester City in the third-round of the League Cup on Wednesday night.
Arsenal will play Liverpool in round four if the Premier League champions beat League One Lincoln tonight.
And when asked about the prospect of playing at Anfield twice in quick succession, Arteta told football.london : "You can imagine, probably the toughest place to go in Europe or the world. That's the fixtures, we have to go there."
It was confirmed yesterday that the Premier League had altered the kick-off time for Monday night’s game in light of the latest Government advice over the coronavirus pandemic.
The Government announced earlier this week that from Thursday all hospitality venues - such as bars, pubs and restaurants - will have to shut their doors at 10pm.
It prompted the likelihood of supporters in such establishments watching the Reds' home game against Arsenal on Monday being unable to see the closing moments.
However, the Premier League has taken the decision to bring the kick-off forward to 8pm, with the day's earlier game - Fulham against Aston Villa - shifting to 5.45pm.
