Mikel Arteta admits he's under no illusions that he will be sacked one day.
But the Arsenal boss isn't on the chopping block just yet, despite the Gunners floundering down in 14th after defeat by Wolves.
Arsenal have been up and down so far this campaign, impressing against Manchester United away from home, but dropping points against the likes of Leeds and Aston Villa.
Arteta is tasked with getting the Gunners back in the Champions League, but will need to see immediate improvements from his side to achieve this goal.
And the Spaniard knows better than anyone that poor results will see him sacked.
Arteta said: "It's something that the day I decided to be a coach I know that one day I will be sacked or leave the football club.
"I don't know if it's the day after I sign my contract, in a month's time, a year's time, or six months' time. I never worry about it.
"My only concern is to get the best out of the players, give the best possible service to the club and become better and better.
"I know, I repeat, in this profession, one day I will get the sack or leave but I don't know when that is going to happen."
According to The Athletic's The Ornstein & Chapman Podcast, however, Arteta is not in any immediate danger of being axed.
The Gunners board will reportedly continue backing the Spaniard for now as they don't want to go down the road of chopping and changing managers with regularity.
