There may have been no football for a while now, but that doesn’t mean that there is nothing to talk about around Arsenal.
There is still plenty going on away from the playing field at the Emirates Stadium, which gave Arsenal Correspondent Art de Roche a lot to discuss during a Facebook live video on Friday afternoon.
Topics ranged from Mesut Ozil’s future to when the Premier League will resume.
There were also a question asking how the Gunners can return to the glory days.
“It’s a difficult one because there’s so many team wanting to get to their ‘glory days’, in Arsenal’s case, I think they’re on the right track, it’s not going to be something that is a quick fix by any stretch of the imagination,” said de Roche.
“I think the quickness of the effect that Mikel Arteta has had on Arsenal has been something to be really encouraged by, not just because there’s a better mood around the place but because of what is happening on the football pitch.
“Within the first 90 minutes of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at Bournemouth on boxing day you could tell there was a plan there and I think that is something, no matter what club you are at, you need.
“You need to know what is going on, and that was something that wasn’t really there under Unai Emery, at the start of this season anyway. He sort of had a plan when he first came in in 2018 but he just didn’t stick with it.
Other topics touched on included leaders both on and off the pitch at the club and a look back at Dennis Bergkamp’s best goals.
