'Arsenal audition!' - Mikel Arteta sent Raheem Sterling transfer demand after Man City goal

Arsenal fans have been demanding the Gunners to sign Raheem Sterling after he found the net against Everton on Sunday.

The Manchester City winger was in the right place at the right time to sweep home Joao Cancelo’s wonderful pass against the Toffees at the Etihad Stadium.

Whilst the England man had displayed the utmost composure to score, the strike was surprisingly only Sterling’s second Premier League goal of the campaign having also netted in a 5-0 victory against Norwich City at the start of the season.

The 26-year-old’s somewhat indifferent form has seen his future under Pep Guardiola called into question.

It was reported before the summer window that the current Manchester City boss was happy to see the winger sold as he eyed a squad refresh.

He was consequently linked with a move to Arsenal, with the Gunners’ attack needing additions ahead of the campaign, whilst Spanish giants Barcelona are also reportedly considering making a move for his signature in the near future.

Following his display in City’s victory against Everton though, Arsenal fans have been appealing to the club to make a move for Sterling ahead of the January transfer window.

So far, Sterling has made 16 appearances in all competitions for Manchester City this season but only seven of those have been starts.

The reigning Premier League champions certainly have a decision to make on his future with just a year-and-a-half left on his current deal.

He has netted a total of 117 goals in 308 outings for the club since a big-money move from Liverpool in the summer of 2015.
