'Arsenal are in trouble!' - Some fans respond as Sokratis features in surprising Greece result

Arsenal defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos was in action for Greece this evening (Sunday).

But it did not go to plan for the defender and his side as Greece conceded a late equaliser against minnows Liechtenstein.

Greece were leading 1-0 thanks to a 33rd minute goal from Giorgos Masouras, but the hosts failed to get a second goal to kill off the game.

And they were punished five minutes from time as Greece conceded a late equaliser, with Dennis Salanovic catching the Greek defence out on the break, outpacing Sokratis and Napoli defender Kostas Manolas and finishing past Vasilios Barkas.

It was Liechtenstein's first goal in the qualifying stages for the European Championships in 2020, and earned them their first point in the group stage, while the result leaves Greece's hopes of qualifying for the tournament hanging by a thread, sitting seven points behind second-placed Finland with four games left to play.

And the fact that Sokratis was part of the Greek defence that conceded the goal, some Arsenal fans have been having their say on the Gunners defender.

Here's what some Arsenal fans have been saying about Sokratis, who has played in all four Premier League matches so far this season, following the result.
