Arsenal announce increased security plans ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt Europa League clash

Arsenal have sent their supporters a warning over increased security for the Europa League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday.

The German club have been banned from selling tickets to away supporters for two matches in Uefa competitions following fan disorder in their game against Vitoria in Portugal.

The visiting section of the ground will be completely empty for the game, and fans have been warned that additional procedures will be taking place outside the ground prior to entry to ensure that no away fans will be able to enter the stadium.

Supporters will have to show their ticket to stewards when approaching the turnstiles, and then tickets will be checked at the turnstiles to assess their validity.

Arsenal have warned that these procedures will slow down the entry process, and have asked supporters to arrive earlier than usual to avoid delays.

The club state that the measures have been put in place "to prevent ticketless supporters, or those that have purchased fake/invalid tickets, attempting to 'tailgate' or force their way into the stadium, as they should not be able to pass the first check."

Arsenal supporters have also been cautioned not to allow their tickets to "end up in the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt fans". They state that any member found "passing, selling or offering their ticket(s) for sale" will face a cancellation of their membership and a ban.

Any Eintracht Frankfurt fans found with a ticket for the home end will be denied entry, and if any do manage to enter the stadium, they will face ejection.

Arsenal are trying to avoid the scenes on display when hundreds of Red Star Belgrade fans managed to enter the home section of the stadium in Spurs' Champions League clash in October.

Tottenham handed out indefinite bans to 48 fans who sold on tickets to Red Star supporters.
