Arsenal have announced their decisions on the extensions of the contracts of David Luiz, Pablo Mari, Dani Ceballos and Cedric Soares.
All four were due to depart on June 30, in the case of Mari, Ceballos and Cedric due to the loan agreements between Arsenal and their parent clubs, with Premier League clubs having until the end of the day on Tuesday to agree temporary contract extensions through to the end of the campaign.
Cedric's case in particular was complicated by the fact that he also had to extend his contract at Southampton meaning that both the Saints and Arsenal had to agree on the new deal.
As confirmed by the club on Tuesday morning, the defender has now signed a long-term deal.
Meanwhile, head coach Mikel Arteta has made no secret of his desire to retain Luiz, describing him as a "leader" but admitting that the financial impact of coronavirus might force Arsenal to allow the veteran defender, who earns around £125,000-a-week, to leave.
He too has signed a new deal, which will now expire next summer.
Pablo Mari's loan at Arsenal was also due to expire at the end of the month.
But he has earned a permanent deal.
Ceballos is the only player in this list to have not signed a long-term deal as his loan from Real Madrid has been extended until the end of the Premier League season.
