Arsenal and Tottenham have been given a potential boost in their hopes of adding to their squad during the summer transfer window.
Europa League quarter-finalists Wolverhampton Wanderers have been included on a list of clubs that will have to comply with UEFA after failing to meet the break-even requirement and have therefore agreed to a settlement with the governing body.
The Midlands club will be under the new agreements for the next two seasons.
Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with Wolves players earlier this summer.
Reports in Italy claimed that Spurs were lining up a move for Raul Jimenez in order to strengthen their forward line, while Arsenal have been linked with a move for Wolves defender Willy Boly.
Jose Mourinho has also heaped praise on Wolves forward Adama Traore ahead of the game between the two teams back in February.
“He’s very difficult to stop. If you want to stop a sprint with him you forget it, you have no chance,” he told the club’s official Youtube account .
“You cannot think about him as an individual, you have to think about him as a whole.
"Of course he’s very, very difficult to stop. He’s so fast and so fast and powerful that he’s very difficult to stop. He had a great evolution with Nuno in the past couple of seasons, in this moment he’s a better player.”
As part of the agreement with UEFA, Wolves can only record a £27 million loss for the financial year ending in 2020 and must make sure that their “employee benefits expenses are restricted.”
The Premier League side must also pay a £540,000 contribution to UEFA and will have their maximum squad for UEFA competitions cut from 25 to 23.
The restrictions may mean that the club are more likely to be open to listen to offers for their players during the current transfer window.
This could especially be the case should they fail to win the Europa League this season, with Tottenham and Arsenal joining Leicester City in the competition next season ahead of Nuno Espirito Santo’s men.
The Wolves situation could give Tottenham and Arsenal the perfect opportunity to make a move for their targets.
