Arsenal and Tottenham fans can't believe what Emre Can did for Dortmund after transfer links

Emre Can has made an instant impact for his new club after signing for Borussia Dortmund on deadline day.

The midfielder joined the German side after failing to nail down a place in Maurizio Sarri's Juventus team in the first part of the season, and has signed on loan for Dortmund until the end of the season.

Arsenal and Tottenham were also said to be interested bringing the 26-year-old back to the Premier League, just 18-months after he left Liverpool on a free transfer.

However, the German opted for a transfer to Dortmund, with Jurgen Klopp believing that it is a good move all around.

Jose Mourinho on Spurs' progress under him

"I am happy for BVB and Emre Can. It's a win-win situation. Emre is just a perfect match for this club," he told Bild.

"BVB got a top lad, a wonderful, versatile footballer with an outstanding attitude.

"I trust them to achieve a lot in the Ruckrunde (second half of the season) with Can and Haaland."

Can has made a name for himself already for Dortmund, scoring an impressive goal on his debut in Dortmund's dramatic Bundesliga game against his former club Bayer Leverkusen.

The goal caused a big reaction on social media, with Tottenham and Arsenal fans among the supporters to give their thoughts.

The midfielder made 167 appearances for Liverpool during his time at Anfield scoring 14 goals and providing 12 assists.

He moved to Juventus on a free transfer in the summer of 2018, but has only managed 45 appearances for the Italian side.

With just nine of them games coming in the first half of the 2019/20 season.
