Arsenal and Man Utd suffer blows, huge Man City boost, Adrien Rabiot latest - European rumours

The summer transfer window is getting into full swing and the latest round-up news and gossip is a juicy one.

Rabiot blow for Arsenal and United

Adrien Rabiot has reportedly signed a five-year deal with Juventus after reports suggested that the midfielder may end up in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United but Yahoo Sports are reporting that Juventus have swooped in and landed him from Paris Saint-Germain.

Mbappe sparks Liverpool fan frenzy

Liverpool fans have been dreaming of landing Kylian Mbappe after the Paris Saint-Germain star’s recent social media activity.

You know it’s silly season in the summer transfer window when stories like this pop up but the Liverpool Echo are reporting that fans have a bizarre Mbappe theory.

Mbappe has followed a host of Liverpool players past and present of late on Instagram, with one fan revealing the information.

The hilarious post is clearly meant as a joke but nonetheless it has Liverpool supporters dreaming of the impossible.

Rodri set for Man City after bombshell

Rodri has reportedly told Atletico Madrid that he wants to leave this summer.

Manchester City and Bayern Munich are both prepared to pay his €70m release clause and now are both expected to fight intensely for the midfielder.

According to Marca, Rodri has told CEO Miguel Angel Gil that he will 'start a new sports project' in a 'purely football decision'.

The 22-year-old is seen by Pep Guardiola as a long-term successor to Fernandinho, and while Atletico have tried to keep the Spain international, Rodri believes that he can reach his full potential under Guardiola at City or at a club the size of Bayern.

Why De Ligt will not join United

Dutch legend Ruud Gullit has explained why Matthijs de Ligt will not sign for Manchester United during the summer transfer window.

De Ligt captained Ajax to the Eredivisie title and the Champions League semi-finals this past season and is now courting interest from around Europe.

The 19-year-old centre-back is a target of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, with Barcelona previously leading the chase before the defender's agent Mino Raiolo asked for more money.

PSG could now be where De Ligt ends up, though Barcelona are still well and truly in the race. United, however, are not according to Gullit, who has opened up on why.

“I don’t think it’ll be Manchester United, they don’t play in the Champions League,” Gullit told Omnisport .

“I think he wants to play in the Champions League, so that’s unfortunate for Manchester United.”
