Arsenal and Man United target responds to transfer speculation

There has been plenty of speculation around the future of Norwegian frontman Erling Braut Haaland.

The 19-year-old son of former Leeds United man Alf-Inge Haaland has been in scintillating form for Red Bull Salzburg this season.

Haaland joined the Austrian outfit in January this year from Molde, scoring once in the second half of the campaign last season.

But he has been on fire since then.

Haaland has 15 goals in ten games for Salzburg, including three hat-tricks and his first in the Champions League.

That has led to interest from the Premier League, with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United linked with a move for the teenage striker.

United have been most heavily linked with Haaland, but Arsenal scouts have extensively watched the Austrian Bundesliga in recent months - the Gunners invited LASK Linz to a friendly before their Europa League final against Chelsea - and were in place for a 5-1 win away to Tyrol in which Haaland scored.

And Haaland has responded to the speculation surrounding his future, by saying it is "f****** boring".

He said: "The media attention is huge. It’s good pressure.

"The club is good at shielding me a little, but I hope it will be more shielding in the future. It will be difficult, but we will try. I want to be shielded.

"It’s f******* boring. I’m bored now. How bored on a scale of 1 to 10? 9.9."
