Arsenal and Liverpool transfer target Nicolas Pepe breaks silence on Lille future

Lille forward Nicolas Pepe says he will not comment on speculation linking him with a move away from the club until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has been one of the top performers in France this season as Lille look set to finish as runners-up in Ligue 1 behind PSG.

Pepe's performances have seen him catch the eye of several of Europe's biggest clubs, with Premier League trio Liverpool , Manchester United and Arsenal among those linked with a £60 million move for the Ivory Coast international.

However, Pepe told BeINSports that will not be speaking openly on his future until the current campaign comes to a close.

"We don’t talk about it, the season is not over yet," he said when asked about his next move, via CalcioMercato.

“Once it is finished we will be able to talk about it, but now no.”

Big debate: The one transfer Man Utd need to make to get back into top four

Lille still have two games to play in the current Ligue 1 campaign and currently sit in second place, six points ahead of third-placed Lyon.

They host Pepe's former club Angers on Saturday before travelling to Rennes on the final day of the season.

Since making the move to Lille in 2017, Pepe has played 72 league games for Christophe Galtier's side and has found the net 33 times, with 20 coming during the current campaign.

Only Kylian Mbappe has scored more goals in France's top division this season than Pepe, while the Ivory Coast international has also registered an impressive 11 assists.

He put in a man-of-match performance against PSG in April, contributing one goal and two assists to Lille's 5-1 win over the champions.

Despite his reluctance to discuss his future, Pepe's agent, Samir Khiat , recently told RTL that the winger is in talks with multiple clubs in multiple leagues but is yet to decide on his next move.
