Arsenal and Chelsea fans to receive pathetic number of tickets for Europa League Final

Chelsea and Arsenal fans hoping to go to the Europa League Final have been dealt a major blow.

It has been revealed UEFA will hand them a paltry number of tickets for the showdown in Baku on Wednesday, May 29.

Despite the Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan boasting a 68,700 capacity, the Premier League clubs will receive just 6,000 each.

The rest will be released to the 'UEFA Family', European football’s governing body has revealed.

Arsenal booked their place in the final with a 4-2 win over Valencia on Thursday night in Spain for a 7-3 aggregate victory.

Meanwhile, Chelsea progressed to an all-EPL affair with a penalty shootout success following a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge and 2-2 aggregate scoreline.

And it doesn’t get much better in the Champions League Final for English fans.

UEFA’s premier club competition is to be held in Real Madrid’s Bernabeu, which can hold 81,044 fans.

But Liverpool and Tottenham supporters desperately attempting to secure tickets for the clash in Spain’s capital are set to be left disappointed, too.

It has been disclosed each club will receive only 16,000 briefs each and again, the rest will be distributed to the 'UEFA Family'.

Liverpool and Tottenham go head-to-head in the eagerly-awaited Champions League Final on Saturday, June 1.
