Robert Pires believes Aaron Ramsey can win the Champions League at Juventus with Arsenal “already regretting” his departure.
Wales midfielder Ramsey, who never played past the competition's last 16 phase in 11 years as a Gunner, officially joins the serial Italian champions as a free-agent on July 1 and is set to play alongside huge names such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala.
Ajax's superstar defender Mathijs de Ligt, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrian Rabiot are expected to join them.
Pires, a Gunners legend as part of their 2003-04 Invincibles title-winning side, said: “Tactically Aaron will have a lot to learn, but technically he’ll keep developing every day alongside some great players.

“He made a really good decision going there. When you change country, you always change your way of playing and you always have to adapt to your new surroundings. Aaron is a very intelligent lad, so he can adapt quickly. But his team-mates have to help him.”
Ramsey agreed terms with Juventus after running down his Arsenal contract with the Gunners unable to retain their place in the Champions League over the past four years.
“Arsenal are already regretting his transfer, because he was a really important player for them,” said Pires.

“Aaron already knows it’ll be difficult to replace [now-Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Claudio] Marchisio, since he played at Juventus for more than a decade. That’s why the fans will have to give him some time, but the goals will come — you’ll see!
"Juve can win the Champions League next season, above all if they sign Rabiot and Paul [Pogba] too.”
Arsenal are trying to sign Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney and are expected to return with a new offer after having a £15million bid rejected by the Scottish champions.

Former Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam, who began his own career at Rangers before moving to play in the Premier League, believes the time has come for fellow Scotland international Tierney, 22, to leave.
Adam said: “I think it’s probably now time for him to leave Celtic. It’s the next progression for his career. Seeing how well [ex-Dundee United left-back] Andrew Robertson’s progressed at Liverpool, as a player you’ve got to be thinking, ‘I want some of that.'
“He’s [Tierney] done amazing at Celtic, winning the treble treble. It’s going to be difficult for him to leave because he is a big Celtic fan. If Arsenal do want him, they’ll have to pay serious money for him.”
