Arsenal already have £50m Gabriel replacement lined-up amid shock Juventus links

Arsenal's transfer business over the last three transfer windows has widely been regarded as some of the best business conducted within the market in recent years. Technical director Edu has been a pivot in multiple signings whilst the outgoings have all been approved to fit Mikel Arteta's current mould.

In the starting XI that defeated Wolves in the Gunners' final game before the World Cup, seven were purchased under Edu and are now vital members of Arteta's squad. Last summer, Manchester City duo Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko were signed for a combined transfer fee of around £72 million to join Ben White (£50m) Martin Odegaard (£30m) and Aaron Ramsdale's (£30m) arrival the year before.

Arsenal lead the way in the Premier League this season after 12 wins from 14 games and Arteta's side find themselves head-to-head against Manchester City for the title. Talk since domestic football was put on hold to accompany the Qatar World Cup this month has been majority based on potential incomings in the January transfer window but links have emerged tipping a Gunner with a move away.

Defender Gabriel Magalhāes is reportedly being eyed by a number of clubs across Europe after his impressive performances in Arsenal's backline this season. Reports from Italy have suggested Juventus are monitoring the Brazilian and have deployed Gabriel's compatriot Danilo to convince the centre-back to join the Old Lady.

In the summer, CalcioMercatoWeb reported that the Serie A giants were preparing to offer £25 million plus Adrien Rabiot on a permanent deal and Arthur Melo on loan. The move never materialised and the 24-year-old committed his future in north London until 2027 in October.

With Juventus still keen on the former Lyon man, pundit Pete O'Rourke has claimed Arteta already has a ready made replacement for Gabriel should he decide to move to Italy. He told the FootballFancast: “So, I think long-term plans still will be for White to play centre half and I’m sure an exciting partnership with him and William Saliba, who are both young and full of potential and they could be a great partnership in the making for years to come.”
