Arsenal agree Marquinhos to Norwich loan deal after Leandro Trossard signing

Arsenal winger Marquinhos has agreed to join Norwich on loan until the end of the season.

The Brazilian is travelling to the Championship club on Monday morning in order to undergo a medical and finalise the deal.

The 19-year-old is joining Norwich on a straight loan until the summer, with no option-to-buy clause included.

Marquinhos joined Arsenal last summer from Sao Paulo for around £3million after they beat off competition from Wolves.

The winger has made just six appearances since then, scoring once in the Europa League when Arsenal beat FC Zurich 2-1 in Switzerland.

Arsenal were always keen to send Marquinhos out on loan this month to get more first-team experience, but they wanted to sign a new forward first.

The Gunners brought in Leandro Trossard from Brighton 10 days ago for £26m and that has paved the way for Marquinhos to go out.

Arsenal loan manager Ben Knapper is set to find some more moves for other youngsters before Tuesday's transfer deadline.
