Arsenal agree double deal as they prepare for busy end to deadline day

Fabio Vieira and Albert Sambi Lokonga are joining Hamburg - (Standard Sport)

Arsenal duo Albert Sambi Lokonga and Fabio Vieira are closing in on moves to Hamburg.

Lokonga is in Germany already and is set to join the Bundesliga club on a permanent deal, four years after joining Arsenal for around £15million from Anderlecht.

Vieira is due in Hamburg on Monday to undergo a medical and finalise a loan move, which will contain an option to buy.

Lokonga has been looking for a new club all summer and has finally got his wish after Hamburg made a late move for him.

The 25-year-old Belgian will be joined in Germany by his Arsenal team-mate Vieira, who had been a target for Stuttgart earlier in the window.

Arsenal had been looking for a permanent move for Vieira, who spent last year on loan at his old club Porto after failing to establish himself since joining for around £35m in 2022.

The Gunners are working to get a number of players out the door before the transfer window shuts at 7pm.

Jakub Kiwior is set to move to Porto, with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Reiss Nelson hoping to leave, too.

Arsenal are also confident of wrapping up a deal for Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie, who travelled to London on Sunday to undergo a medical and finalise an initial loan move to the Emirates Stadium.

The deal contains an option for a permanent £45m transfer next summer, which the Gunners are expected to activate.
