Arsenal have added Getafe defender Djene to their list of summer transfer targets, according to reports in Spain.
Marca claim the Gunners have expressed an interest in the 27-year-old with a view to making him one of their summer signings.
Djene has enjoyed a stunning season for Getafe, playing a crucial role in their bid to earn a surprise top four finish to qualify for the Champions League.
The Togo international was the subject of interest last year but was convinced to stay put and has seen his stock rise further after 32 La Liga appearances.
He has a €35million (£30m) release clause in his contract and could be a versatile option for Unai Emery with experience playing at centre-back and right-back.
Emery is looking to work on a budget in the summer, although securing Champions League football could increase his ability to spend.
He is desperate to upgrade his defensive options having leaked goals this season, particularly in recent weeks with their Premier League top four chances being dented.
