Arsenal 1-0 Bournemouth: David Luiz scores his first goal for the club as Gunners go third

David Luiz headed-home his first goal for Arsenal to secure a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth to send the Gunners third in the Premier League table .

The Brazilian – who arrived from Chelsea last summer - gave Arsenal a ninth-minute lead at the Emirates Stadium.

The defender escaped Callum Wilson and headed home Nicolas Pepe's corner.

Unai Emery made one change from the draw at Manchester United as midfielder Dani Ceballos came in for the Premier League visit of Bournemouth.

Real Madrid loanee Ceballos scored his first Gunners goal in Thursday's Europa League clash with Standard Liege as a much-changed side secured a comfortable win.

Mesut Ozil again missed out on the matchday squad, although Kieran Tierney was named on the bench in a Premier League game for the first time.

Bournemouth named the same starting XI that drew 2-2 at home to West Ham last weekend, with Ryan Fraser returning among the substitutes after illness.
