Arriva Click have said they will not be returning to the whole of Liverpool after they suspended their services at the start of the lockdown in March.
The bus company have said although the service has “proved popular with customers” they have been unable to make the service sustainable.
The company acknowledge that this will be “disappointing news” for a lot of people in the city.
They say the service has set out what it aimed to achieve, which was getting people out of private transport and onto public transport.

The company said half their customers were previously using cars or taxis before adopting the personal bus service.
One small consolation is that Arriva Click will continue to run the 211 Speke zone, just as they have continued to do over the pandemic period.
Arriva Click said it “wasn’t a decision we have taken lightly” but they are telling customers now to give them time to make alternative travel arrangements, and that regular Arriva buses will continue to run as normal.

The company said: “We are extremely grateful to our customers for their support since we launched the service.”
