As previously reported by Dublin Live, the terrifying outbreak happened just before 9pm with horrified residents looking on.

Footage obtained by Dublin Live showed a car and its driver battered with weapons as the vehicle was wedged into a building in the Island Key area.

The area had been plagued over the last few months with anti-social behaviour and locals residents could be heard screaming in fear and shock at the disgusting scenes that took place.

There had been an ongoing garda operation to tackle the issues in the area but it was disbanded a few weeks beforehand as garda resources were re-assigned elsewhere.

Now, three people, a man and two youths, have been arrested by gardai and are being held at Dublin garda stations.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí have arrested a man in his 20s and two juveniles in relation to an incident of violent disorder and criminal damage at Island Key, East Wall on 17th November 2020.

"The two juveniles are being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Store Street Garda station. The man in his 20s is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Mountjoy Garda station."
