Three men have been arrested after children aged four, six and seven were found in a 'disgusting' flat where police also found needles and suspected Class A drugs.

Officers raided the property in Barton Hill on April 10 following a tip-off.

They discovered a six-year-old child who lived at an address om Barton Hill along with a seven-year-old and four-year-old who were visiting with their mum.

Police witnessed people cutting and wrapping suspected Class A drugs, along with evidence the substance had recently been used there, with needles and other drugs paraphernalia lying around within easy reach.

Acting Sergeant at Avon and Somerset Police Richard Jones said: “The local police team at Trinity Road have an ongoing commitment to reduce the harm caused by drugs to the local community, who tell us time and again that they do not want to live alongside drug dealing and taking.

“There is never any excuse for young children to be exposed to such harmful and disgusting environments and I am relieved to see these three children have been moved to places of safety as a result of our actions.

“We need local people to tell us what they know. Any information given helps us to build a picture of what is happening, where and when, so that we can target our resources accordingly. Giving information could help us to protect vulnerable children who don’t have a say in where they live or are taken.”

If you suspect drug dealing is taking place in your area, contact police via their website.
