
A WOMAN who was allegedly vandalising police vehicles on Christmas Day while wanted on a warrant will face court on Friday.
Tuggerah Lakes police were attempting to find the 26-year-old, who was wanted on an arrest warrant for traffic offences as well as a return to prison warrant for firearms and weapons offences.
Extensive inquiries led officers to arrest the woman at a property in Kildare Road in Bensville about 7pm on Boxing Day.
Police searched the property and allege they found prohibited drugs, a knuckle duster and a knife. The items will undergo forensic examination.
The woman was taken to Gosford Police Station and charged with both warrants and 16 offences.
They include assault occasioning actual bodily harm, four counts of destroy or damage property, use carriage service to threaten serious harm, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, not keep left of centre two-way road, Learner/P1/P2 driver not wear seatbelt properly adjusted, Learner/P1/P2 driver passengers (over 16) not wear seatbelts, negligent driving, two counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, and three counts of possess prohibited drug.
Police said they will allege in court that the 26-year-old assaulted a 35-year-old woman in Wyoming in October before sending her threatening social media messages.

"It will also be alleged that the 26-year-old woman vandalised police vehicles on Wednesday December 25," police said in a statement.
The woman was refused bail to face Wyong Local Court.
