Police investigating a fatal stabbing in central Victoria have charged a 40-year-old man with murder.
A 49-year-old man was stabbed just after midday on Wednesday at a unit on King Street in Bendigo.
He was taken to the Bendigo Hospital but later died from his injuries.
The Victoria Police homicide squad took over the investigation on Wednesday night.
On Thursday morning, officers were called to a chemist at a shopping centre in the Bendigo suburb of Strathdale.
There they arrested a 40-year-old man from Eppalock, east of Bendigo, who was questioned by homicide detectives.
He was charged with one count of murder on Thursday evening.
