A man was taken to hospital after a violent episode erupted in Coatbridge.
Another male has been arrested in connection with the incident, which took place on the town's Bank Street last Sunday, July 11.
Emergency crews were called when the alarm was raised just after 1.30pm, after reports of an alleged assault in the area.
One man was rushed to hospital for treatment to his injuries, with police arresting a second male and enquiries "ongoing".
A Police Scotland spokesman told Lanarkshire Live : "Officers were called to the Bank Street area of Coatbridge at around 1.35pm on Sunday, July 11, following an assault.
"A man has been taken to hospital for treatment and another man arrested in connection with the incident.
"Police enquiries remain ongoing."
