A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the allegedly stealing cash from an OAP in Dundee.
The 79-year-old was walking on Glenmoy Avenue when a two-figure sum of money was taken from him.
A police probe was launched into the incident which took place between 12.10pm and 12.30pm on Sunday, February 28.
An appeal for witnesses was launched after the alleged suspect was seen leaving the scene in the direction of Glenprosen Terrace.
Officers said that the victim was “shocked by the incident but thankfully he was unhurt”.
Police Scotland has now announced that a 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged.
A force spokesperson said: “A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the robbery of a 79-year-old man in Glenmoy Avenue, Dundee, on Sunday February 28.
“He is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Tuesday, March 2.”
