Arrest after body of man found in grounds of Scots hospital

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a man found dead on Scots hospital grounds.

Stephen Quigley, 26, from Neilston, Glasgow was found outside Royal Alexandra Hospital off Craw Road in Paisley.

His body was discovered on Wednesday 24 March and another 26-year-old male was arrested, according to Police Scotland.

Following an investigation into the death, the suspect is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 16 June.

Tributes poured in across social media soon after Stephen's death.

One person described Stephen as a “lovely young lad” and sent heartfelt condolences to his family while others said he would be missed.

They wrote: “Such a lovely young lad, will miss seeing you out. Heartbreaking , our thoughts are with the family and friends.”

Another said: “RIP Stephen. You were loved.”

While a third wrote: “Rest in peace. One of the best mannered boys in the village. Too soon mate.”

And one commented: “RIP Stephen, you’ll be missed lots, thinking of everyone, so gutted to hear this.”
