A pirate ship-shaped hotel is set to be built at Gulliver’s World theme park.
Bosses at the family-friendly attraction have secured planning permission for a 71-bedroom hotel and leisure resort close to the Warrington site.
Four linked applications relating to the family-friendly attraction have been approved.
Another hotel - themes as a 'fairy tale castle' with luxury suites and family rooms - will be built.
Council chiefs have also been given permission to change the use of a plot land for 33 holiday lodges - and for the overall 'village' resort.
Known as the Wilderness Wharf, the development will also house a number of holiday lodges, alongside a café, craft centre and children’s indoor play centre.
The extension will coincide with Gulliver’s World’s 30th birthday and would mark 40 years since the birth of the company, which also operates parks in Milton Keynes and Matlock Baths.

Highway chiefs did raise concerns about the potential increase in traffic, but development bosses showed the increase in congestion would be negligible - even at peak times.
Bosses say the project will create 40 new jobs and add £6m to the town’s economy.
Gulliver's World currently has more than 80 rides and attractions such as playgrounds, splash zones and soft play areas.
The park is popular among parents as it caters for children between the ages of two and 13.
