Aron Baynes (ankle) expected play against Bucks in Game 2

Despite being listed as questionable on the Boston Celtics’ injury report, Celtics center Aron Baynes is expected to play in Game 2 after rolling his ankle in Game 1 and complaining of subsequent soreness following Monday’s practice. Baynes, one of the tougher players in the league, has had an injury-riddled season but has constantly ignored the pain from his injuries in order to return to the court as early as possible.

Baynes participated at shootaround on Tuesday, so there’s a strong likelihood he’ll play. However, he played just nine minutes in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, his lowest minute total of the postseason so far. If he does play in Game 2, look for him to play a minimal role.

Baynes has averaged 3.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 0.6 steals per game this postseason, shooting 66.7 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from three-point range.
