Aro Muric and Yuri Ribeiro start for Nottingham Forest against Atromitos

Nottingham Forest handed first appearances to new signings Aro Muric and Yuri Ribeiro, as Sabri Lamouchi picked a team that included plenty of youth and experience to face Atromitos.

The on loan Manchester City goalkeeper and the left-back, who signed permanently from Benfica, started amid a 4-3-3 formation.

Fellow new signings Tiago Silva, Alfa Semedo and Albert Adomah were all included on a strong looking bench.

Ben Watson was handed the captain’s armband, along with a holding midfield role, with Toby Edser and Brennan Johnson playing either side of him.

Sammy Ameobi and Arvin Appiah played either side of forward Tyler Walker, who is understood to have impressed Lamouchi in pre-season.

The back four included Alex Milosevic and Tobias Figueriedo playing together for the first time, with Milosevic having been signed amid the defensive crisis last season, which saw the Portuguese player as one of those sidelined.

Tendayi Darikwa and Ribeiro were the two full-backs named in the side.

Yohan Benalouane, Joao Carvalho and Ryan Yates are all sidelined with injury.

Forest face an Atromitos side who have finished in the top four in five of the previous seven seasons in the Greek top flight.

Forest 4-3-3: Muric; Darikwa, Milosevic, Figueiredo, Ribeiro; Johnson, Watson, Edser; Ameobi, Walker, Appiah. Subs: Pantilimon, Smith, Cash, Robinson, Dawson, Silva, Worrall, Semedo, Yacob, Lolley, Adomah, Grabban, Osborn, Mighten.
