The owners of Brown Thomas and Arnotts, Selfridges, are reported to have been approached about a possible takeover worth an estimated €4 billion.
The Weston family, who own the Selfridges group, has stores in Canada, Ireland, UK and The Netherlands.
Their stores are in some incredible locations including the famous Selfridges store on Oxford Street.
It's not yet clear whether the takeover is just for their Irish and UK stores or their entire portfolio, reports the Financial Times.
Brown Thomas was purchased by Galen and Hillary Weston back in 1971.
The Irish family added Arnotts to the Selfridges portfolio back in 2015. They also own Penneys as well as the Primark brand in the UK.
The Selfridges group is currently run by Dublin-born Allanah Weston after her father Galen, passed away in April.
She was recently revealed to have come in 10th place in the Times UK rich list after her and her families wealth increased by over €450 million in the past year.
As well as being Chair of Selfridges Group Foundation, Alannah is also the trustee of the Blue Marine Foundation, a small NGO which campaigns on ocean preservation.
