Arnold Schwarzenegger declares he is a Liverpool fan - and makes prediction for Tottenham clash

Hollywood movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger has revealed he is a Liverpool fan and is confident Jurgen Klopp's side will beat Tottenham on Sunday.

The Premier League leaders will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to their league campaign when they face Mauricio Pochettino's men at Anfield.

Despite dropping points for the first time this season at Manchester United last weekend, the Reds are six points clear of defending champions Manchester City at the top of the table.

And Schwarzenegger, who is currently promoting the new Terminator film 'Dark Fate', revealed his liking for the Merseyside club ahead of their meeting with Spurs.

"I like Liverpool," the 72-year-old told BBC Sport . "They are not always successful but the momentum is there right now.

"Sometimes, and I don't know why, they lose some stupid games then they come right back again.

"When they say 'I'll be back', they are back."

The Austrian-American actor also backed Klopp's side to continue their impressive start to the season against Spurs, predicting a 2-1 win for the Reds.

It will be the first time the two clubs have met since they came face-to-face in June's Champions League final in Madrid, which Liverpool won 2-0.

And while the Reds have carried their success from last season into the new campaign, Tottenham have struggled to replicate the kind of form that earned them a place in the showpiece.

Despite easing to a 5-0 win against Red Star Belgrade in midweek, Pochettino's side have won just three games in the Premier League this season and enter the match seventh in the table - 13 points behind their opponents.

However, Reds boss Klopp has insisted he is expecting a tough game from the North London club.

"I can’t say anything about Tottenham," he said. "You have to be in the situation to understand it, and I am not in Tottenham’s situation.

"What I saw on Tuesday was a very good Tottenham side. That’s what we are thinking about, not about why the start has not been as you or Tottenham expected."

He added: "From time to time, things don’t work out. That’s football.

"We saw in that midweek game, and even in the other games they had good moments.

"They didn’t forget how to play football."
