Arnold Schwarzenegger cycles the wrong way down the road in Edinburgh

Arnold Schwarzenegger began cycling down the streets of Edinburgh the wrong way on Thursday.

Perhaps thinking he was in his home state of California, the former Governor accidentally set off towards oncoming traffic.

The moment was captured on video by BBC Scotland where members of the press and public can be heard shouting: “You’re on the wrong side of the road Sir.”

Moments before, Schwarzenegger posted a pre-ride photo of himself on Twitter calling Edinburgh a “beautiful city”.

The Terminator actor was in the Scottish capital for an event at the International Conference Centre on Wednesday.

While engaging in a Q&A, Schwarzenegger delved into his rivalry with Sylvester Stallone during the 1980s.

“We hated each other because we both had big egos,” he said of his Expendables co-star.

It’s not the first time Schwarzenegger has cycled around a British city on a bike. In June last year he was spotted seeing all the sights of London on a Boris Bike.
