Arnold McDonald's employee tests positive for Covid-19

A McDonald's employee has tested positive for Covid-19.

The fast-food chain said an 'enhanced clean' took place as soon as they were informed but the restaurant has not been forced to close as a result.

The staff member worked at the McDonald's in Nottingham Road in Arnold.

The fast-food chain said there has been no other cases across its Nottingham branches.

A McDonald's spokeswoman said: "One employee at our Nottingham Road in Arnold restaurant tested positive for Covid-19 last week and is self-isolating.

"As soon as we were informed, the restaurant was given an enhanced clean as a precautionary measure and we contacted all restaurant employees.

"We have a number of safety measures in place to help keep our people safe.

"This includes perspex screens, temperature checks at the start of each shift, maintaining a two metre distance from others as much as possible, face coverings, regular hand washing and the use of hand sanitiser."
