Arnold Clark mechanic finds tiny kitten stuck in car dashboard

Part of a car had to be taken apart after a kitten escaped and hid behind its dashboard.

It took three hours for Arnold Clark mechanic Connor Gilchrist to free the kitten – now named Dash.

The four-week-old animal staged the disappearing act as he was being transported by volunteers from Stirling-based Infinite Kitten Rescue.

He had just been rescued from a farm in Kippen, Stirlingshire, and was being transported in the charity’s Vauxhall Astra SRI when he escaped from his carrier and sought refuge behind the dashboard.

Volunteer Lynette Glen said: “We tried coaxing Dash out with food for about two hours but had no luck.”
