He played his part in his side's double success and is already looking forward to the new campaign.
Reflecting on the term just past on Instagram, Engels wrote: "My first season at Celtic has been a journey filled with highs, lessons, and memories for life.
"Whether we were at Paradise or away from home, I felt your energy every time we stepped on the pitch. Thank you, fans, see you all soon."
Engels is contracted at Celtic until the summer of 2027.
In other news, the Parkhead club have reportedly made an official approach to sign Benjamin Nygren from Nordsjaelland.
The 23-year-old scored 16 times in 32 appearances for the Danish top-flight outfit last season.
The Athletic claims that the Scottish Premiership champions have made an official approach to sign the player, and that his club are 'open to a sale' at the right price.
Although predominantly an attack-minded midfielder, Nygren can also operate on the left and right flanks, as well as at centre-forward.
