Arne Engels will make a decision on his Celtic future before he returns to the club for pre-season.
The Belgian playmaker has a number of sides circling him this summer with a view to making a move for his services. The likes of Crystal Palace have been linked while Nottingham Forest are said to be interested in making another play for the midfielder.
Engels, 22, has been an important player for Martin O'Neill and the Northern Irishman would likely prefer to keep hold of his key man beyond the transfer window.
However Engels is contracted until 2028 and would command a hefty transfer fee to part ways with the Hoops which could force the Scottish champions' hand if big money arrives.
Engels has never wished to leave Parkhead even after Forest made as many as three offers back in January, culminating in a final £25m bid which was ultimately knocked back.
But now Voetbal Krant are reporting that the former Augsburg star is setting himself to make a decision on what to do next before the Celtic squad not at the World Cup return to training on Thursday.
No matter the decision, in the end, it leaves manager O'Neill with some signing calls to make with a recruitment overhaul necessary this summer.
Engels recently swapped agent which to some might suggest that the player fancies a fresh challenge.
AC Milan, Lazio and Napoli have all been credited with an interest across the past few months while Borussia Dortmund were named as another interested party in the Bundesliga.
