Arnaut Danjuma debut, new attack unleashed - Tottenham lineups Conte should pick vs Preston

Tottenham will visit Deepdale for the first time since 2009 on Saturday evening when they face Preston North End in the fourth round of the FA Cup. Victorious on that evening as they defeated the Lancashire club 5-1, Antonio Conte will hoping for a repeat as they look to seal their spot in the next round of the competition.

Following Monday's slender 1-0 win at Fulham, Spurs could quite easily make a host of changes as they will not be back in action until next Sunday when they host Man City at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It is a game Conte and the players won't be taking lightly at all, though, especially after their exit at Championship side Middlesbrough last March.

So how exactly will Tottenham line up at Deepdale in the Saturday evening kick-off? Our Tottenham Hotspur reporters have named the teams they would select below.

Conte has to balance picking a strong team, which he can because of the gap between fixtures but also giving some minutes to others to ensure they are sharper if called upon in the weeks to come.

His assistant boss Cristian Stellini seemed to suggest Harry Kane might not start at Deepdale after only returning to training for the first time this week on Friday following the fever and illness he was suffering with against Fulham. Stellini also seemed to indicate that new signing Arnaut Danjuma might not be quite ready yet to start.

Elsewhere, Fraser Forster needs a game as do Davinson Sanchez, Bryan Gil and Yves Bissouma. It could be the perfect time to hand Richarlison his first start with Kane given a rest on the bench.

Conte may decide between Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur to play alongside Bissouma and the latter could get the nod if Conte feels he needs more minutes in his legs while the Dane could do with a rest.

Gold's team: Forster; Sanchez, Dier, Lenglet; Doherty, Bissouma, Bentancur, Sessegnon; Gil, Richarlison, Son.

Antonio Conte has the opportunity to rest some of his key men and give those on the periphery of the Tottenham XI a start on Saturday evening. Even if he does make a number of alterations, he can still field a very strong team to get the job done.

Fraser Forster comes in between the sticks and takes the place of Hugo Lloris, with Eric Dier the only one of the back three who started at Fulham to keep their place. Davinson Sanchez and Clement Lenglet replace Cristian Romero and Ben Davies as a result.

Matt Doherty and Ryan Sessegnon also come into the side in the wing-back positions, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg rather Rodrigo Bentancur, who has only just recently returned to action, partnering Yves Bissouma in midfield. Up front, Harry Kane's illness during the week could open up the door for new signing Arnaut Danjuma to start through the middle in a new attacking partnership.

The new signing may not have played a lot this month but it is a good opportunity for him to increase his minutes. Richarlison should also start as he needs pitch time after his injury, while Son Heung-min starting and finding the net could give him the confidence boost he most definitely needs.

Guest's team: Forster; Sanchez, Dier, Lenglet; Doherty, Hojbjerg, Bissouma, Sessegnon; Son, Danjuma, Richarlison.
