Arnaud Djoum's Cameroon qualify while Jamie Brandon wins first Scotland Under 21 cap

Arnaud Djoum and his Cameroon side secured qualification for the African Cup of Nations after Clarence Seedorf’s team beat Comoros 3-0.

Djoum started the match and played the full 90 minutes for the Indomitable Lions.

Marcus Godinho also saw his nation qualify as Canada defeated French Guyana 4-1 in Vancouver to book their spot at the Gold Cup, although the right back was an unused sub.

Bobby Burns was up against teammate Alex Petkov when Northern Ireland Under 21s took on their Bulgarian counterparts. The former was on the bench and the latter started as Burns' side won 1-0 in Marbella.

Arnaud Djoum linked with summer move to French club Toulouse when contract expires

Burns then started the 2-1 win over Mexico Under 22s on Monday night, with Falkirk’s Shayne Lavery netting the winner with three minutes to go.

Aaron Hughes was in the senior squad but didn’t play in either of their victories over Belarus or Estonia at Windsor Park.

Jamie Brandon won his first Scotland Under 21 cap in the 0-0 friendly draw with Mexico and played 90 minutes, before making way for Hibs’ Sean Mackie during their 2-1 defeat to Sweden.

John Souttar was called up but was an unused substitute for Scotland’s 3-0 defeat in Kazahstan and the 2-0 win over San Marino.

Harry Cochrane came on for Scotland Under 19s in their 4-0 victory over Cyprus, and the young Scots take on Portugal tonight. A win would see them qualify for the European Championship finals.
