Two men were arrested following an alleged disturbance in Wishaw.

Police were called to Myrtle Drive, Craigneuk at around 7.30pm last night after reports of an incident.

Around 12 masked cops were seen storming the property, with locals believing it was because of a lockdown rule breach.

Police shut down the rumours, confirming the incident had nothing to do with coronavirus restrictions.

Two men have now been charged in connection with the disturbance and will appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court tomorrow.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Following the report of a disturbance at an address in Myrtle Drive in Craigneuk, around 7.26pm on Tuesday, 15 September 2020, officers attended and two men were subsequently arrested.
