Army lacrosse player celebrates big game with Arya’s ‘Game of Thrones’ move

WARNING: THERE IS A VERY LARGE GAME OF THRONES SPOILER AHEAD. IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED SUNDAY’S EPISODE, STOP AND DON’T GO FURTHER.

Okay? Let’s go.

This is what I hope is the first of many times I get to write this sentence: The Arya move from Sunday’s Battle of Winterfell that destroyed the Night King — which had fans celebrating like they just saw a miracle touchdown in the Super Bowl — has now made its way into sports.

Army lacrosse player Brendan Nichtern celebrated six assists in a game by taking his stick with one hand, dropping into to the other stabbing the air. It’s The Arya!

I’m hoping to see some NBA players mime this during the playoffs, or to have at least one NHL goal-scorer do it with his stick. And then maybe this video of Doc Emrick calling Arya’s heroism will come true:
