Armstrong Oko-Flex 'set' for West Ham transfer as Celtic youngster catches David Moyes' eye

Celtic prospect Armstrong Oko-Flex is reportedly set to join West Ham.

The 19-year-old is approaching the end of his contract at Parkhead and almost departed for Huddersfield in January.

The Herald and Times report Oko-Flex is travelling to London after catching the eye of Hammers boss David Moyes.

He could now complete a surprise transfer to the Premier League having been unable to make a first-team breakthrough at Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers signed Oko-Flex from Arsenal in 2019 before he departed for Leicester City.

The attacker was handed only two appearances under his successor Neil Lennon and came with much of the Celtic first-team forced into Covid-19 isolation.

It's now reported the Republic of Ireland youth international will put pen to paper on a deal with the London club.

Meanwhile, Celtic look set to grant a new contract to Leigh Griffiths.

The striker's uncertain future appears on the verge of being resolved amid speculation over whether the club would trigger a one-year extension clause in his current.

Griffiths has held talks with new manager Ange Postecoglou and revealed he expects to make his stay at the club official in the coming days.

The 30-year-old said: “I’m out of contract at the end of the month, but I spoke to the manager last week and he’s keen to keep me on. We’re looking for a deal that can be done and hopefully it can be done in the next few days."
