Armoy incident police probe leads to four being charged after man 'struck by car'

Four people have been charged with attempted grievous bodily harm with intent after a man was allegedly struck by a car in Co Antrim.

A 48-year-old man was reportedly set upon outside a pub on Main Street in Armoy after 1am on Sunday. He was then allegedly hit by a car.

A PSNI spokesman said on Monday evening that four people have been charged.

He said: "Four men aged 32, 24, 23 and 22 years old have been charged with attempted grievous bodily harm with intent and other offences.

"All four men are due to appear at Antrim Magistrates Court on Tuesday 20 August.

"As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS."
