Armistice Day LIVE: Memorial events continue as nation prepares to mark 100 years since end of World War One

Memorial events are continuing today as the nation prepares to mark the centenary of the armistice.

Later on Saturday, the Queen and other members of the royal family will attend the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall.

The festival commemorates all of those who have lost their lives in conflicts.

During England’s international rugby match against New Zealand, players will wear poppies on their shirts and there will be a minute’s silence before kick-off followed by a rendition of the Last Post.

Numerous other tributes are planned at Premier League football matches across the country.

On Sunday, members of the Royal Family, the Government and representatives from the armed forces will take part in a National Service of Remembrance at 11am at The Cenotaph in Whitehall。
