A brute stabbed a man in a savage attack after bursting into his Erskine home.
Detectives are investigating after a 41-year-old man was seriously assaulted in Blantyre Court at around 10.50am on Sunday.
It’s understood the attacker forced himself into the victim’s house before brutally assaulting him.
Cops, who are treating the incident as serious assault, said the injured man sustained a number of slash and stab wounds in the onslaught.
He was rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment and later released.
A manhunt is now underway for the attacker who is described as a male in his 30s, though detectives leading the investigation said they are following a positive line of enquiry.
Specialist forensic officers in white overalls were seen entering the property in search of clues.
Detectives heading up the probe yesterday urged anyone with information to get in touch with police.
