Armed teen gang beat pair in sickening street attack in Drimnagh

Two men have been rushed to hospital after they were beaten by a gang of teens in a sickening street attack in Drimnagh.

The pair were set upon by the gang on Galtymore Road shortly before 9:30pm.

A witness told Dublin Live that the assault appeared to be unprovoked and the group of around eight teens were armed with poles and sticks.

Emergency services raced to the scene following the shocking beating and the two victims were taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live they are investigating the incident but no arrests have been made.

He said: "Gardaí are investigating an assault that occurred on Galtymore Road, Drimnagh, shortly before 9:30pm this evening, Saturday 13 th March 2021.

"Two males have been taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown to be treated for their injuries.

"No arrests have been made, investigations are ongoing.
