Armed robbery at post office in Swansea is investigated by police

Police are investigating an armed robbery which took place in the early morning in Swansea.

A man entered the post office in Neath Road, Plasmarl, at around 6am, and threatened a member of staff.

He then made off in the direction of Cwm Level Road.

Police have been at the scene since being called there shortly after.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "The suspect is described as male, wearing a dark balaclava and dark clothing. He spoke with a local accent".
