Armed robbers target victims near apartments in Park Manor: police

Police are warning South Side residents about multiple armed robberies last month in Park Manor.

In each case two suspects approached victims near apartments and robbed them at gunpoint, Chicago police said in a community alert. The robbers may be in a dark-colored, newer model Ford Explorer with chrome wheels.

The robberies happened:

  • About 4:50 p.m. Feb. 16 in the 7000 block of South Wabash Avenue;
  • About 5:25 p.m. Feb. 22 in the first block of East 69th Street; and
  • About 5:55 p.. Feb. 25 in the 7200 block of South Michigan Avenue.

The suspects are described as two men between 19 and 30 years old, police said. They’re 5-foot-8 to 6-foot-1 and about 150 pounds. In one case, they were with a 5-foot-4, 150-pound woman between 20 and 30 years old.
