
Police are warning residents about a series of robberies reported since January in Washington Park on the South Side.
In each case, two men have approached a lone male victim and taken his property at gunpoint, according to a community alert from Chicago police. In one incident, they also took the victim’s keys and drove off in his vehicle.
The hold-ups occurred:
- About 1:25 p.m. March 13 in the 5900 block of South Indiana Avenue;
- About 5 a.m. Feb. 6 in the first block of East 57th Street;
- About 8:30 p.m. Feb. 3 in the 5900 block of South State Street; and
- About 10 p.m. Jan. 28 in the 5900 block of South Michigan Avenue.
The suspects were described as two men between 20 and 30 years old, standing 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall and weighing 175-250 pounds, police said.
