Police are warning South Shore residents of a pair of armed robberies in the past two weeks.

In each robbery, two men armed with a gun approached a victim on a sidewalk or in an alley and stole their property, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The incidents happened:

  • about 1 p.m. May 8 in the 7100 block of South Ridgeland Avenue; and
  • about 4 a.m. May 15 in the 7200 block of South Euclid Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to call Area One detectives at 312-747-8380.
